If you're new here, let me introduce myself—I’m Nora, the face behind vinho comigo. Originally from Switzerland, I’ve been calling Ericeira home for over five years now. 🍷✨

While I’m passionate about Portuguese wine, what truly fascinates me is everything that shapes it—the climate, the soil, the traditions. With a background in geography, I love exploring how a place influences the taste of a wine. What started as a simple idea—to share these stories and what I learned about the wines with a wider community and taste wine together —has grown into vinho comigo.

🌊 Funny enough, it was actually the sea and the surf that first brought me to Ericeira… the love for Portuguese wine came later.

How can it be December already? I am still dreaming of summer days, with a glass of white wine by the pool. Here in Switzerland (where I am at the moment) it‘s more of a red wine weather with the cold and snow and cozy evenings. What are you drinking in December?

🍇 Let’s talk about Síria! This native portuguese white grape thrives in the warm, dry climates - in other words in the interior of Portugal such as Beira Interior, Douro or Alentejo. In Alentejo the grape is known under the name "Roupeiro".

Known for its versatility, Síria produces vibrant and aromatic white wines. These wines are fresh, zesty, and often light-bodied and young, making them enjoyable and easy drinking.

Flavors to expect:
In the glass, Síria wines typically showes notes of citrus fruits 🍋, peach, melon and wild flowers, complemented by hints of herbs and a mineral backbone. Crisp acidity and a clean finish make them incredibly drinkable.

How is it used?
Síria often stands out in single-varietal wines but also contributes its freshness and elegance to blends, adding structure and character.
