Testamento Estate is a family owned vineyard, dating back to the XIX century, located in
north of Portugal in the boundaries of the world’s first demarcated wine region, Douro south (Latitude 40°56'42.49"N, Longitude 7°30'7.49"W, altitude 717 meters). In 2005, the vineyard was replanted with the noble Touriga Nacional Portuguese caste, and in 2016 we have triple the Plantation area and add it 10%

weight of Syrah grape. By 2017, we estimate to produce 25 tons of Touriga Nacional and 2.5 tones of Syrah grape.Testamento Estate Biological Vineyard Project was fully funded by the EEC -Vitis. The business model focuses on 3 hectares of vineyard co-ownership, producing a premium monocaste Touriga Nacional and a Premium blended Syrah. Testamento Estate objective is to share the wine making experience with its wine club members and make it exclusive to its members. Testamento Estate exclusive membership offers discounts when visiting the Estate, in lodging, restaurants, wine tours, and other tourist attractions.

Mother Nature did not help us this year! Production fell 32% vs 30% decline estimate, but grape quality improved 4.2% (12.7%- 13.7 fermentation) vs previous year. Despite the heavy rain we had during this year harvest. Estimated Net Profits for 2016 is 27% vs 51% in the previous year. Estimated cost/sales is expected to increase 14.23% vs the homologous previous year. Total Expenses decreased 24.95%, due to better management efficiency :)

Quinta Testamento 2015 financial results out today.
Best year in its history!!! Even I got surprised :)
Gross Profit 71.03%
Net Profit 45.02%

The significant improvement on operating results were due to higher demand for the Touriga Nacional grape, selling grape price increased 31.1% compared to the previous homologous year and better management efficiency.

We expect a 30% decreased on production in 2016 harvest, but higher grape quality, but.only when the buckets have been washed is the harvest over!

On May 24 at 18:00 hours Testamento Estate Phase II is completed! Thank you to all that collaborated on this ambitious project. The team executed under the time and budget limit. Special thanks to all my workers, who were able to execute it with 50% estimated work force.
Phase III, Testamento Estate Enotourism estimated to kick start September 2016 and to be completed by Spring 2018. I will be looking to raise €500,000 in phase III.
