In May 2026, The Kitchen celebrates two years of life. At The Kitchen, we don’t simply offer cooking classes.

This Kitchen is made to Connect | Cooking Academy | Portuguese & International Cooking Classes | Food & Drinks Experiences | Private Events | Private Chefs | Wine Tasting | Team Building Events Two years of growth, learning and, above all, tables full of people. From day one, this project has been guided by the same idea: “This Kitchen is made to connect.”

The Kitchen is a place where gastronomy

and wine bring people, cultures and stories together. We take great pride in our hospitality — in the way we welcome, guide and create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable, relaxed and truly at home. Welcoming people is not a detail for us; it is part of our identity and lies at the heart of everything we do. We create immersive food experiences, where participants are actively involved, engage fully in the process and connect genuinely with food — always accompanied by carefully selected Portuguese wines. All our experiences are 100% hands-on, designed so that everyone learns by doing. We want our guests to return home confident to recreate the recipes, with practical knowledge and meaningful memories connected to each dish. At the end of the experience, each participant receives a certificate of participation — a small surprise — and the recipes are sent by email, so the experience can continue beyond The Kitchen. Our classes are accessible to all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced cooks. The level of difficulty is carefully balanced so everyone can follow along, in a relaxed, pressure-free environment where the most important thing is to enjoy learning and feel comfortable throughout the experience. We celebrate Portuguese cuisine, its regions, products and traditions, while also exploring international cuisines, always with curiosity and respect. We host group and private classes at The Kitchen, bring the experience into our clients’ homes with private cooking classes and private chef services, and create tailor-made private events — birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, team buildings and special celebrations — always adapted to each client’s wishes. Wine plays an increasingly central role in our journey. We are proud members of the Algarve Wine Route, and we are investing strongly in this area, with a growing focus on Portuguese wine curation and the creation of wine-focused experiences. From spring 2026 onwards, The Kitchen will also host wine events, further strengthening the connection between gastronomy, terroir and producers. More than a cooking academy, The Kitchen is a place to meet. A space where food brings people together, stories are shared, moments are toasted and genuine connections happen around the table. This Kitchen is made to connect. And we continue to grow with that certainty. Warm regards,
Joana Glória

It was a pleasure for The Kitchen to contribute to such a special event. 💗

Congratulations to Espiche Golf Club and everyone involved in the Mr Captain Ladies Charity Golf Day for creating a day filled with friendship, community spirit and generosity.

We are honoured to have been one of the sponsors supporting an initiative that raised €5,462 for the Associação Oncológica do Algarve. 👏

At The Kitchen, we believe food brings people together, but so does kindness. We are proud to support events that make a positive impact in our community.

Well done to all the players, organisers, volunteers and sponsors who helped make this day such a success. 💕

Small gestures, when combined, can create a huge impact. ✨

🍷 One thing that truly impressed us in Bordeaux was the beauty of the Médoc and Margaux wine regions.

Endless vineyards, stunning châteaux and a deep connection between wine, history and landscape.

It's easy to understand why these regions are home to some of the world's most renowned Grand Cru Classé wines.

For us, trips like these are more than just travel. They are a source of inspiration.

Every vineyard, every wine tasting and every conversation around the table reminds us that food and wine are not just about flavour — they're about stories, places and people.

And that's exactly what we love bringing back to The Kitchen 🍇✨

Have you ever visited a wine region that left a lasting impression on you?

🦪 One of our favourite stops in Bordeaux was the famous Marché des Capucins.

And honestly?
These were probably the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life.

Fresh, cold, intensely ocean-flavoured and absolutely unforgettable.

And no… I did not share them with my friends 😅
They asked.
I simply told them to order more for themselves.
Because for me, eating oysters is a magical moment.

One of those small experiences where everything else disappears for a few seconds.

Just the taste of the sea, a glass of champagne and that feeling of pure happiness 🥂✨

Sharing a few photos of this delicious moment.

And you?
Are you team oysters & champagne? 🦪

Something very unexpected appeared in our shop window today… 👀✨
A giant Pastel de Nata!
We’re still trying to figure out who let him in… but honestly, we think he can stay 😄
What do you think — should we keep him? 💙

Last Friday reminded me that behind every beautiful experience we create at The Kitchen… there are real people, real emotions, and sometimes very difficult days too.

A fire broke out at my house (Joana) just hours before one of our cooking classes. In the middle of the chaos, smoke, stress and uncertainty, there was one thing on my mind: our guests still deserved an incredible experience.

And this is where I need to say thank you.
Thank you to my mum.
And thank you to Lara — who came to teach the class on her birthday. 💛

While I was dealing with everything happening at home, they welcomed our guests with warmth, professionalism, laughter and care, making sure The Kitchen still felt magical for everyone there.

Later that day, still smelling like smoke and with my dress completely ruined from the fire, there was no way I was letting their birthdays pass unnoticed. So I went to get a birthday cake and some accessories to make them feel celebrated too 🎂✨

Because that’s what The Kitchen is really about.
People taking care of people.

I feel endlessly grateful to have these women beside me. 🤍

✨ Lately, there’s been a huge conversation around wellness travel.

People travel for movement, for silence, for nature…
We even read about a new trend of people taking trips just to catch up on sleep 😅

And honestly? We get it.

At The Kitchen, we’ve realised that some of the best ways to truly recharge are often the simplest ones:

🍷 Wine tastings
👩‍🍳 Cooking classes
🚲 Bike rides through vineyards

During our recent trip to
Saint-Émilion,
we spent the day cycling between châteaux, tasting wines, sharing long lunches and learning more about the stories behind each bottle.

And it reminded us of something important:

Food and wine experiences are not just about eating or drinking.
They’re about slowing down. Connecting. Feeling inspired again.

That’s also a big part of what we try to create at The Kitchen ✨

So now we’re curious:

When you travel, what activities make you feel most alive? 🍷

🍷 The day I booked this trip for had finally arrived: visiting the Châteaux of Bordeaux.

We rented bikes in
Saint-Émilion
and cycled through the vineyards towards our first stop:
Château La Dominique.

And honestly… we were impressed from the very first moment.

The building immediately stands out with its bold contemporary architecture and its stunning red gradient façade, which we later discovered represents the different shades of the red wine grape varieties produced at the château.

We had lunch on a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards and enjoyed an incredible wine from
Pomerol — one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious wine regions, known for the elegance and depth of its wines.

After lunch, we joined the full château tour and wine tasting experience, paired with different types of chocolate that completely transformed the sensory experience of each wine.

The tasting took place in a beautiful room, and we absolutely loved the experience.

💡 Château La Dominique is classified as a Grand Cru Classé, a designation given to estates that follow strict production and quality standards to be recognised among Bordeaux’s renowned wines.

During the visit, we also learned more about the winemaking process — from hand-selecting the grapes to fermentation and ageing in oak barrels.

And it was impossible not to think about how wine is so much more than what ends up in the glass.

It’s about territory, detail, time… and experience.

After the visit, we got back on our bikes and continued cycling through some of the most beautiful vineyards we’ve ever seen 🍇✨

Finally, we’ve started capturing new photos of our classes in our new space! 📸✨

Yesterday was all about shooting our Portuguese Grandma’s Recipes Class, the Pastel de Nata Baking Class, and our now very successful Portonic experience 🍷

It was a long day… but such a fun one, spent with friends and family who kindly volunteered to be our “models” (and did an amazing job 😄).

We can’t wait to start sharing all the new content with you very soon!

For now, here are a few sneak peeks 👀

🍷 Inspiration is everywhere… sometimes it starts with a small cake in Bordeaux.

At The Kitchen, we believe the best experiences don’t come from recipes — they come from stories, places and moments.

This past weekend, we travelled to Bordeaux in search of wine, flavours and new ideas.
Not just to taste… but to observe, feel and bring something back.

Our first stop? A small, iconic pastry: the canelé.

Crispy on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, with hints of vanilla and rum — simple, yet unforgettable.

💡 Fun fact:
Canelés were created in Bordeaux using leftover egg yolks from winemaking (egg whites were used to clarify wine).
Even their desserts are connected to wine culture.

And that’s exactly what inspires us.

At The Kitchen, we’re always looking for ways to translate travel into experiences —
whether it’s a flavour, a story, or a feeling you didn’t expect.

Because cooking isn’t just about food…
it’s about where it takes you.

April flew by… and we barely had time to catch our breath! 💙

One thing we do know for sure — we had so much fun with everyone who joined us at The Kitchen! From laughter around the table to first attempts (and successes!) at Portuguese recipes, it was a month full of special moments.

Have a look at some of the great memories we created together with our Kitchen guests! 👇

A big thank you to everyone who visited us — you made April truly unforgettable 💙
