Welcome to Quinta do Francês Estate Family

Nestled in the hills of Silves, the Odelouca River Valley is home to Quinta do Francês vineyard. GPS: 37° 13′ 1.52″ N 8° 30′ 32.53″ W
This is the ideal soil (on south facing slopes) where the red varieties of vine, Trincadeira, Aragonês (tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah were planted in 2002. The hot and dry Algarvian climate, can over stress th

e vines, but fanned by the cool Atlantic sea breezes caming from the South, do reduce the over ripening process. On the other hand the poor schist, clay soil, that limits the water intake, can create just enough stress to concentrate the grapes, thus producing the remarkable wine from this vineyard. Those reasons along with extreme care on selecting and handling our precious grapes enables us to produce medal winning wines, from the vine to the bottle.

Quinta do Francês – Touriga Nacional
Produced in the heart of the Algarve, Quinta do Francês Touriga Nacional showcases the elegance and intensity of Portugal’s most iconic grape variety. It displays a deep ruby colour and a rich bouquet, with notes of ripe wild berries, violet and subtle hints of spice and well-integrated oak.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, well-balanced and smooth, with silky tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, persistent finish.
