On 𝟭𝟯 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀, PATHWAYS will bring together policymakers, researchers, farmers, industry and civil society to explore the future of sustainable food and livestock systems in Europe. 🌍
🎤 The day will be moderated by Natasha Foote, Agrifood Correspondent, and feature speakers from across policy, research and practice.
🔶 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 | 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Hear opening remarks from Yiannis Mina (Cypriot EU Presidency), Damien Flynn (Ireland’s Permanent Representation to European Union), and Brigitte Misonne (DG AGRI) followed by key messages from project coordinator Laurence Smith.
The 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 will bring together Anna Jamieson (Pasture Beef Sweden), Inês Grenho Ajuda (Eurogroup for Animals), Pierre-Marie Aubert (IDDRI), zeev noga (UECBV - The European Livestock and Meat Trades Union) and Riccardo Pelani (COPA COGECA) to discuss PATHWAYS results and the future EU livestock strategy.
🔶 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 | 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲
Join Agnes van den Pol-van Dasselaar (Aeres Hogeschool Dronten), Jenny Yngvesson (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and farmers from our Living Labs to hear first-hand experiences from the field.
Later, Tom Staton (University of Reading), Pietro Goglio (Università per Stranieri di Perugia), Catherine Pfeifer (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL), and Michele Moretti (Università di Pisa) will explore sustainability trade-offs and future livestock pathways.
The day will close with final reflections from Valerio Abbadessa (DG AGRI).
