Before the final edits on the book were done, there was a garden party.
Last night’s garden party, in Frolunda: Hawaiian meets Singaporean, served up in the Swedish midnight sun.
On the board was spam musubi, Maui pulled pork sandwiches, nasi lemak (coconut rice) and bain maries full of other good stuff.
Full confession, though. Shane carried the prep on his shoulders as I was buried in final edits of my next book until last minute. I felt it - writing about Michelin-starred chefs in this book brought back my own kitchen training, and I sharpened my knives properly, wore my kitchen clogs, had a neutral standing position. Slow food, fast, with a little plot on the side. Villainy in Valence is out Thursday on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited.
