Sometimes, only the smell of a freshly baked cake can take you back... back to your childhood, to grandma, to family celebrations, holidays with people we love.

I work every day not to just bake cakes and roll brigadeiros, but to keep alive a culture that I left miles and miles away.

Sometimes it's tough and I feel like giving up, but then sometimes I remember the first time I baked a cake under grandma's supervision. And then I go on.

Brigadeiro is ROYAL! 👑

This week, Her Majesty Queen Silvia got my handmade Brazilian sweets in a gift basket, in honor of her Brazilian roots!

The guests at the opening of 's exhibition "Birds of Brazil" also enjoyed a small cocktail with my brigadeiros as dessert!

The beautiful paintings by the artist Jenevora Searight showcase one aspect of her extensive travels all throughout Brazil: the birds.

Her Majesty's Brigadeiro box was as rich as the Brazilian fauna: it had lots of different flavors, each one with their own story.
