Yesterday was the last day of bobbla’s journey. For the past two years, we received endless support and love from our bobbler family, without you we could never make it this far, and we will be forever appreciative for knowing that there are so many of you who enjoyed the recipes created by — bubble tea is more than just overly sweetened taste profile, but has endless potential waiting to be explored. Michael took inspiration from his experience of living in China, combining two cultures together by enhancing the tea flavour, and together with inspirations from local Scandinavian flavours, bubble tea reformed here at Bobbla. We hope that our definition of bubble tea succeeded in bringing you joy and happy moments, and contributed for the food and beverage service in Malmö. We also truly appreciate all the kind words that you told us regarding our brand identity created together by and , and we are sorry that we could not order some more merchandise with our logo on in time 🥲

Most importantly, we want to thank our amazing team here at bobbla. It is only with your contribution can we managed to start from a small store in Mitt Möllan slowly growing up and eventually moved to our own location at Södra Förstadsgatan 86. You are forever part of the bobbla family and we appreciate all the hard work you put into explaining what bubble tea is to first timers!

Lastly, we wanna say thank you to all of our customers. It was such an honour to serve you behind the bars, and every time you smiled after your first sip of the drink made our day happier and fulfilling! Thank you for the patience when there was a long queue, your tolerance when we made you a wrong drink, and all the funny small talks you had with us. We will definitely miss all of these!

However, we are happy to confirm that the next owner of bobbla’s location will keep selling bubble tea and keep the majority of our recipes. So bobbla is not “gone”, but will exist with a new identity. We will announce here on our Instagram regarding the opening date of the new store, so do not unfollow us yet and stay tuned!

‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE‼️

Bobbla is closing by the end of July!

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that we unfortunately have decided to close Bobbla by the end of this month. We, Tommy and Michael, share a love for high quality bubble tea, and wanted to show people in Malmö how good bubble tea can be, which is how Bobbla was born. When we opened Bobbla, Michael was still working a full time job, but Tommy had decided to pause his studies, due to covid-restrictions, why we felt we had time to try our luck with opening Bobbla. We are now at a point in our lives, where we wish to shift focus on to other aspects.

We have always been overwhelmed by the huge support all of you have given us and Bobbla, from our small start in Mitt-Möllan, to last year when we opened our own shop here on Söderförstasgatan and you guyses overwhelming support for all of our unique specials drinks. We never thought that it could become what it has, and for that we thank you all! The memories we have created with Bobbla and you guys, the Bobbla-community, will always be cherished and we will never forget them.

For those of you who still own a present card at Bobbla, please make sure to redeem it before 31st July! And for those of you who wanna purchase our tea leaves, sirups, tapioca and other toppings, we will sell them at the last weekend 20th-30th July, be sure to come and collect them so you can duplicate your favorite Bobbla drink at home! We will Also have hoodies with our logo available by then. Again thank you for supporting us along the way, you are the best! Bobbla, more than boba!

We are happy to announce that we will be one of the participants to this year’s Streetfood Festival in Malmö 30 June - 1 July, at Stortorget, together with our dumpling partner ! Turning cassava starch into tantalizing pearls is a meticulous art form passed down through generations. It requires skillful hands, patience, and a deep appreciation for the craft.
