With love from Japan 🇯🇵
Japan has long been a source of inspiration for our founder, Christina.
What began at 19 with the discovery of the Japanese martial art Shorinji Kempo grew into a lasting relationship shaped by a deep respect for craftsmanship, intentional design, and the quiet beauty of wabi-sabi.
An appreciation for what is natural, imperfect, and evolving - now woven into the essence of OneWell and the Universal Vessel.
Through her martial arts practice came another perspective:
Water not only as something essential, but as something to learn from. To move with, rather than against.
“Be like water, my friend” is a philosophy she continues to carry.
During the past week, Christina spent time at the institute of the late Masaru Emoto, exploring cultural and philosophical perspectives on water and our relationship to it.
A reminder that water is not only essential to life, but deeply embedded in how we move, create, and connect.
