Yxskaftkälens Angus Besättningen startades 1995 och målet var och är att föda upp lätt kalvade, extensiva djur i ranch drift.... Våra Angus är uppfödda på endast grovfoder.

Besättningen startades 1995 och målet var och är att föda upp lätt kalvade, extensiva djur i ranch drift. Vi koncentrerar oss på linjer med gamla Angus egenskaper alltså inte bara tillväxt. Dom har tillgång till stora arealer där de ska söka sin egen mat, därför lägger vi stor vikt vid moders egenskaper och rörelse förmåga. I dag består vår besättning av 70 kor i ranch drift och vi har högsta möjliga hälsostatus i BVD,LEUKOS och Para-TB. Vi säljer Avelstjurar,kvigor och Ko med kalv.

Rain some sun and then more rain ! we have been lucky to have a friend of ours from the Netherlands here this week , he says its a holiday for him but for us its a huge help !

Most of the herd are out on grass now , so its a bit of riding round to check the groups, we have 4 stock bulls out this year and 30 cows in the AI group.
I know you shouldnt wish the time away but really looking forward to the calving season again , we hopefully have some exciting new lines coming.

We were way up north to Alterdalens to deliver their new stock bull Gordon 1118 ( Carsen Hardy ET x Greta 323 ET)
He was keen to get of the trailer after 6 hours driving!!

And after 3 excellent beers supplied by Saareõue Aberdeen angus she calved and i didn't even have to get my hands dirty....
