Did a search while Q-ing and noted it's featured on Get Fed but is it really good?

The char siew are towards lean side, roast meat got good crunch and duck was roasted just nice.

Special mention is the free flow gao tasty soup (soy bean + ABC + bone) and achar.

Not overly sinful and a good roasted meat stall but won't Q if more than 5 pax in the Q.

Gotta admit I'm no longer young and these days I care a lot about the calories that goes into my mouth. If it makes me fat, IT BETTER BE WORTH IT.

And I found it! Every single piece of meat cooked by Mad Charcoal is tender, juicy and has a really nice charred flavour.

Worth ALL the calories 🤣

The only downside would be it'a location (industrial coffeeshop) but seriously special mention for it's beef brisket and pork belly.

I will be back 👍🏻

*Best ngoh hiang in SG?*

This stall has been raved since my army days (10+ years) and I finally got to try it. A classic for army boys stationed at sungei gedong or near choa chu kang (CCK)

Evening crowd was crazy but the kitchen steady bompipi serving customer at fast turnaround time (only had to wait about 5 min).

Nothing to nitpick really, fresh ingredient, food served hot, sauce has a spicier kick compared to other stalls which is 👍🏻

Walkable from CCK mrt!

If you have had a better ngoh hiang recommendation, pls share! 😁

I think this bread isnt mentioned by many people but I really wanna do a shoutout because for the price and quality, this bread easily win the other mainstream bakery breads 😎

My personal fav is the pork sausage one, really is must try 💯

📍 The outlet I frequent is Northpoint but they have many other outlets too.

*OMG, YISHUN?!?!*

Found a steam fish shop tucked away at a new and quiet coffeeshop in Yishun with 5 star google review and decided to give it a try.

There's a wide selection of fish (e.g. grouper, promfret, threadfin) and up to 8 kinds of steam methods (e.g. hk steam, collagen, mala).

Tried the red grouper fish tail in collagen soup ($20), fish meat was steamed perfectly and the soup is palatable and goes well with the fish.

Very nice and would highly recommend!

This plate of nasi kerabu deserve a shoutout.

Smoky sauce, tender chicken, nice touch of keropok and salted egg.

Was skeptical about the raw greens (instruction was to mix with rice) because I dislike raw veg taste but the touch of pomegranate and some spice/herb blew my mind after mixing it with the rice 💯

Opening hours: Daily, 10am till sold out 😎

*Legends are timeless, they withstand the challenge of time and change*

Toast and Roast was a highly recommended stall to me more than 10 years ago. Back then due to transport difficulty (no friends driving, no grab and taxi was a pain with all the nego for price), I had to give it a miss.

Fast forward to 2023, I honestly thought they would have closed or boss might have retired or affected by Covid. To my pleasant surprise, the shop is still operating and full house when I went after peak lunch hours.

Their char siew is definitely in my top 3 personal favourites. It was truely legendary, the fats that melt in your mouth, the charcoal aroma, the caramelised texture, the perfect lean and fat ratio and the addiction to keep on taking the next piece to put in your mouth. Crazy good stuff really.

Roast meat was a bit lacking, slight crackling skin but meat was well marinated though it looks unappealing.

'Hakka noodle' was tasty and generous with minced meat and pork lard.

Char siew.. definitely would visit again if I am in KL for the char siew 💯

Visiting Uniqlo Coffee! It was my must visit agenda during a short KL trip recently 🤣

Americano was too diluted for me, latte was ok. Cookies aren't too dry and have a strong flavour.

No need to visit unless your wardrobe screams uniqlo like mine 🤣
