Five years. That’s a huge milestone for any small business in Singapore, and we are immensely proud to have hit it. Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors and chosen to support small producers, importers, and our small business- You are the heart of Wine Mouth.
We’ve hustled, we’ve pivoted, we’ve introduced new imports and tasting formats—but the current, undeniable economic downturn has made it impossible to sustain our physical retail presence on Joo Chiat. We fought hard, but ultimately, the space itself no longer works for us, and we have decided to close as of today.
We will take some time to determine what comes next for Wine Mouth, but here is the hard truth: The future of independent businesses is precarious. Your favorite shops, restaurants, bars, and more are fighting for survival. If you want the diverse, unique, and personal touch that small businesses offer, you must actively support them with your dollars right now. Or, quite simply, we will all be gone.
