While many recognize the potential of converting this residue into value-added products, processing rice straw has long presented operational and handling challenges.

WasteX has now a solution!✨

Based on our recent biochar production trials in India using pelletized rice straw, we managed to produce biochar with great results:

✅~60 kg/h average feedstock processing capacity
✅~40% average biochar yield
✅Stable, repeatable performance across multiple trial runs
✅Consistent feeding behavior and uniform temperature control

Apa sih yang berubah setelah menggunakan biochar?🤔

Menurut Pak Isbad, salah satu petani yang menggunakan biochar dari WasteX, perubahan positif mulai terlihat pada lahannya, seperti:

✅ Hasil panen meningkat hingga sekitar 67% (5 kg benih sebelumnya menghasilkan 3 karung hasil panen, sekarang menjadi 5 karung)
✅ Penggunaan pupuk berkurang hingga 20–25%
✅ Tanah menjadi lebih gembur
✅ Tanaman tidak mudah layu saat cuaca panas di siang hari

What happens when research meets cutting-edge biochar technology? ⚙️🌱

WasteX has officially commissioned its biochar equipment at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani – Goa Campus, marking our first academic installation in India.

The equipment will support research and practical evaluation of biochar production across different biomass feedstocks, demonstrating how our decentralized pyrolysis technology can be applied not only in industry, but also in research and education.

During commissioning, the system was tested across multiple biomass feedstocks and demonstrated:

✅ Feedstock processing of up to 59 kg/hour
✅ Fuel consumption as low as 9% (fuel-to-feedstock ratio)
✅ Continuous semi-automatic operation with minimal operator intervention

We are proud to see WasteX technology supporting both real-world implementations and academic research as interest in biochar continues to grow across sectors.

Berdasarkan uji coba WasteX:
📈 Hasil panen meningkat hingga 61%
🌳 Pohon produktif 17% lebih banyak
