Home to one of the world’s finest orchid displays, the Singapore Botanic Gardens showcases a breathtaking collection, including the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower. I was completely blown away by the sheer beauty on display! 🇸🇬 🌺

Super excited to reveal my book, The Seed Hunter!🌱📚 After two years of hard work, my encyclopaedia of heirloom seeds is finally here. Spread across 350 it’s jammed packed with rare and unique heritage food crops. Discover the history, folklore, and fairytale for these amazing heirlooms, the varieties I recommend, plus recipe ideas as a nod to my chef past. I’ve also included an 35 page interactive directory of seed sources to help people track down the rarest of seeds.

The Seed Hunter is hitting the shelves in early October, but books are available for pre-order now.

I wanted to give a special mention to DK Books for their support and to my agent Stuart Cooper, who helped bring this vision to fruition. A massive thanks to Charles Dowding for the quote on the cover and to Mark De’Lisser for writing such a beautiful poem. 🫡

One of the proudest achievements of my life so far has been putting this encyclopaedia of heirloom seeds together, and I hope it can seed joy and inspiration to the reader. 🪴

This enormous ‘Sapporo Giant’ cabbage really lives up to its name, it’s HUGE! 🥬

Stemming from Hokkaido, Japan, these mammoth brassicas have been grown in the area since the 1800s. 🇯🇵

I’m a big fan of this bean, my standout bush variety of this year! They’re available through Real Seeds

A basket of beans! The stripey one is a bush french bean, Merveille de Piemonte, which we have discovered not only tastes great, but holds well on the plant and doesn't go stringy or tough for ages, even if you miss some when picking.
