Kai Xiang Huat has come a long way from a traditional wholesaler to a trusted ISO-certified HoReCa produce partner. We are proud to share the evolution of our company logo, which mirrors our growth trajectory.

🌱 Our heritage: The original logo with cursive typography and traditional Chinese characters. This is still proudly displayed as our main warehouse signboard. We're keeping it there because it represents our roots and values - built on trust, grit, and honest hard work.

🚀Our transition era: We introduced the abstract, geometric cut-out mango, which marked our modernisation with the use of technology and expansion of sourcing networks to keep pace with Singapore's booming hotel and restaurant kitchens.

Company Insights from a Learning Journey on Inclusive Hiring.

We recently attended the Company of Good's exclusive access series on inclusive hiring, hosted by ABR Holdings Limited and APSN Tanglin School.

The learning journey and campus tour were highly eye-opening. We saw firsthand how the school's curriculum maps out the entire education-to-employment pathway for students aged 13 to 16. Students are equipped with practical life skills and vocational training in simulated workplace settings, helping them to build self-confidence and independence.

Hearing the employer perspectives from Swensen's Singapore and Edith Patisserie offered valuable insights. The representatives shared that while the initial spark stems from a desire to do good, hiring neurodivergent individuals and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) can successfully address real business manpower needs across different operational roles when executed thoughtfully.

As an SME facing relentless cost and manpower challenges in a competitive business landscape, it is important to hear about both the rewards and the authentic operational challenges involved in these initiatives. The session has given our team genuine food for thought on how Singapore's business ecosystem is evolving and where untapped talent pool could be better utilised.
