Dear friends and customers, with a heavy heart and immense sadness, our parents have decided to retire, after running the business for more than 50 years. My father started selling Char Kway Teow in his teens and my parents was one of the first group of hawkers to move into Golden Mile Food Centre when it opened in 1975.

Being a hawker is gruelling work but my parents always find satisfaction, knowing that customers enjoyed their food. Over the years, some customers have become good friends and the hawker centre also became a second home to my parents. As my parents’ health deteriorated over the last years, they still insist on operating the business (over the weekends) so they can continue to serve their customers. Unfortunately, age has finally caught up and being unable to deal with the physical demands of being a hawker, they have decided to call it a day.

Thank you for all your support over the decades. We hope all our customers have enjoyed the food that our parents served and the memories that it brought. We wish everyone good health and hope you continue to enjoy Char Kway Teow!
