In 2009, Taipei was proud to have hosted its first Deaflympics Games and indefinitely they were eager to play a good host. Being a tourism spot with an interesting food culture, the organizing committee was determined to embed an unforgettable experience for their guests. On the magnificent closing ceremony, a feast with 11 types of food and beverage which significantly represented Taiwan was served to the Athletes and Delegates from the participating countries. Reknowed "Xiao Long Bao", "Smelly Beancurd" and of course Bubble Tea were among the top of the list.
666 beverage brands vied for a spot to make its presence in this event. Share Tea participated in its selection process and was the only bubble tea brand which surfaced to pass the committee's stringent requirements, to be named the official bubble tea representative of Taipei, giving it its title Taipei No. 1.
