From the people behind Sogurt, KARA Café & Dessert Bar is a welcoming space for warm encounters. As you step through the door arches, you enter a world of tropical foliage and imaginary creatures with art by Mark Wee, and begin a gastronomic journey of unusual taste pairings with savoury and sweet creations lovingly created by our handpicked chef partners. Think comfort food in melted cheese mouth

fuls of grilled toasties. Grain bowls of fragrant garlic Japanese rice or fluffy quinoa topped with tangy, refreshing flavours and textures: mexican taco chicken, truffled mushrooms, cashews and black tofu with wasabi mayo. Try the botanical and floral ice cream flavours like Lavender Maple: instant gratification in a spoon-licking mouthful. Our logo suggests an open door and a subtle heart, in a colour wash of muted pink and earthy peach that forms the atmosphere of the café interiors, crafted by Quarters. We are on a mission to craft a space we’d love to hang out in together, with food we all love to eat.

It’s been slightly over a week since we’ve closed, and taking this time now to say THANK YOU for the overwhelming support on our final month😌
We are so grateful for such a strong send-off, and it truly affirms us that all the efforts and love we’ve put in to create this space was well worth it 💗
Many of you have expressed sadness and disappointment on hearing this news (we feel it too!!), and asked if we’ll be reopening elsewhere… the truth is that we have no plans to do so (yet), but will stay open if good opportunities come along :)

As for our beloved ♥ SOGURT ♥, our last-standing self-serve bar may not be around anymore, but our delicious froyo is still available online in minicups/pints for home deliveries, and also for events/bulk/corporate orders!
