David Sadie and Nadia Sadie have established themselves as two of the most respected names in South African wine, particularly in the Swartland. Although they share the surname “Sadie,” they are not related to Eben Sadie. Their wines are celebrated for their purity, elegance, and authentic expression of Swartland’s old vineyards, with an unwavering focus on terroir rather than winemaking intervention.

While David & Nadia produce an outstanding range of both white and red wines, they are best known internationally for their old-vine Chenin Blancs. In 2023, SKLO partnered with the Sommelier Association of Singapore (SAS) to co-create a wine glass engineered specifically for Asian palates, achieving an exceptional balance of aroma, structure, and flavour clarity within a single elegant form.

Working closely with the artisans of Květná 1794, SKLO and SAS embarked on an intensive development journey involving multiple rounds of mould fabrication, blind tastings and performance evaluations. Each prototype was carefully shipped, assessed and refined until the perfect expression was achieved.

The tulip-shaped bowl and paper-thin rim were the result of meticulous design rather than chance. Every curve was precisely calibrated to enhance the wine’s aromatic expression, optimise palate balance, and extend the length and complexity of the finish. Spanning approximately 30 weeks, the development process culminated in a glass that performs as beautifully as it looks.

In 2025, the SKLO Evolution Series was honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, affirming what Singapore’s sommeliers had long recognised: a wine glass designed for Asian wine culture can stand proudly among the finest in the world.

Tignanello is one of the original Super Tuscans, a cult classic whose story dates back to 1971 when the Antinori family made the groundbreaking decision to create a wine that united the best of Bordeaux and Tuscany through a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Sourced from one of the most prized vineyards in Chianti Classico, Tignanello is grown at an altitude of 390 metres above sea level on soils rich in Alberese limestone of marine origin. Since its inception, Sangiovese has remained the backbone of the wine, with Cabernet Sauvignon lending power and structure without overshadowing its Tuscan identity. Driven by a deep respect for the region and the exceptional quality of the fruit, recent vintages have seen an increased proportion of Sangiovese in the blend.

Little introduction is needed for Tignanello. According to Wine-Searcher statistics, it is widely regarded as the second most sought-after Italian wine in the world, surpassed only by Sassicaia. Recognised as one of the most renowned and approachable Super Tuscans on the market, it consistently ranks among the category’s elite while remaining relatively affordable, making it a perennial favourite for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Tolpuddle Vineyard has long enjoyed a remarkable reputation among wine lovers. A north-east facing site just 20ha in size located in Coal River of Southern Tasmania, the vines here were planted over 30 years ago in 1988. Their unique terroir yields intensely flavoured grapes, propelling their wines to acclaim as Tasmania’s (potentially Australia’s) most sought-after release. Now fully mature, these healthy and thriving vines produce exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir year after year, making Tolpuddle a true rising star of Tasmania and one of the finest single vineyards in Australia. Both their Chardonnay & Pinot Noir have been recently named in the latest edition of Langton’s Classification (The Premier Guide To Australian Fine Wine) under the “Classified” category.
