Everyone drinks wine. But are you drinking it like a pro?

The 5-Step Approach to Wine Tasting :

1. See
Hold your glass by the stem and tilt it at 45° angle against a white background. Observe the color, opacity, viscosity (wine legs).

2. Swirl
Swirl to release the aromas.

3. Smell
Note the primary and secondary aromas (eg. floral, fruity, herbs, nutty).

4. Sip
Take a small sip and let it coat your entire mouth. Notice the finish.
High quality wines generally have a long finish where the flavours linger more than 30 seconds.

5. Think
Ask yourself, does the wine taste balanced? (eg. Too acidic or tannic).
Do you like it?
