豆花多一碗. One More Beancurd Thank You: watercolour on hot-pressed paper, Sept 2025 😋🥰🤗

Happy to share a recent commission by a local well-known hawker food brand 正宗老伴豆花🤗 My last hawker culture series was done 6 years ago in 2019. Though after that I’ve illustrated a few more which are based on local hawker center, but non was specifically highlighting a particular hawker food. While working on this piece, it definitely brought back memories of my trips to various hawker centers or kopitiams while researching for the series. 🥰

This artwork is inspired by Lao Ban’s very first stall at Old Airport Road Food Center, featuring the stall founder with his wife and daughter busy serving customers✌️Thank you LaoBan Soya Beancurd for this opportunity for Kiddo to revisit our colourful hawker culture. There are still plenty of Singapore hawker stalls that Kiddo has yet to try. Maybe we can plan a new hawker food journey for Kiddo next?😅😘😋

老板，多一碗豆花，谢谢！🥰 距离上回画本地小贩美食已有6年。2019年创作了近10幅不同的小贩摊位，让小不点尝遍本地不同族群的著名美食，本还想着以小贩文化为主题创作更多作品的，后就不了了之了😅

难得这回获正宗老伴豆花之邀，仿佛又回到当时，到不同小贩中心或咖啡店采风的情景，为小贩文化系列收集素材。这幅新作以老伴豆花位于旧机场熟食中心的第一个摊位为背景，展现老摊主夫妇与女儿忙着招呼客人的画面。

说实在，本地小贩文化太丰富多元，也许可以考虑让小不点开启新的小贩美食之旅哦😅✌️😘🤗
