Why not let Singapore farm just produce our very own eggs since we already have the technology and capability. We just need the government to give the local farmers, the local market and import less from abroad.

Why the trouble, why can't our government off take directly from the farms. Not all, but say 20-30%, the rest the farmers can sell on their own. This will give a base for the local farmers to stand firm on.
