Skin contact done right is undefeated. If you’re bored of safe, clean whites, these three have been stealing the show lately:

🇪🇸 Cooper Cellars Las Suertes: Crazy aromatic, like orange peel and flowers, but drinks completely crisp and bone-dry. Dangerously easy to polish off a bottle (or two).

🇮🇹 **es Jakot: The absolute benchmark. Deep amber, tons of dried fruit, herbs and serious texture that grips your palate like a light red. An absolute beast of a bottle.

🇦🇹 Semicolon: Wild, electric and razor-sharp. Yellow apples, minerality and incredible balance from one of the oldest estates on the planet.

Skip the ice bucket, give them some air and drink them with your favourite hawker food. What’s going in your glass first?

Nobody tells you what the extra hundred dollars buys, so here it is.

Almost none of it is the w**e getting more delicious. It’s a smaller vineyard that yields less, vines old enough that the volume drops every year and a barrel that costs more than most people’s monthly w**e spend, used once.
