Some meetings feel written before they even happen. š¤
We first walked into Treasure At Home thinking weād just scout for pieces to add into our cafe. Vintage corners, old soul energy, little details that could make the space feel warm and lived in.
But mashaa Allah, we left with so much more than that.
We met Abang Sadri and his amazing wife, and what started as a simple visit slowly turned into hours of stories, laughter, learning and conversations that stayed in our heads long after we left. We spoke about heritage, about old collectables, about how certain pieces hold memories bigger than themselves. We spoke about business too. The kind of conversations that quietly plants seeds in your heart šæ
That giant 7-Up blind you see there?
Abang Sadri looked at us and said,
āTrust me. Put that in your cafe. Make that corner an instagram-worthy corner. The colours will pop, people will come take photos.ā
We laughed and told him,
āIf we cannot sleep tonight, weāll come back tomorrow and buy it.ā
ā¦which exactly what we did š
And that cassette radio there?
Also from them. Another piece with a story.
Mashaa Allah, seeing the space slowly come together feels very emotional somehow. Piece by piece, corner by corner, itās becoming the kind of place we always dreamed of. Not just a cafe, but a space that reminds people of home. Of growing up. Of simpler days. Of conversations around old radios and vintage furniture while life moved slower.
May this little space become a place that brings people together, warms hearts, and quietly returns people to memories they forgot they missed. š¤
