We're back in action TODAY!

We had a wonderful 8 days in Yunnan and we've now gained 13 new potential customers for our wanton noodles 😂🍜

Thank God for a wonderful tour group by SA Tours and safe journeys through the province. It was a group of really good company - so easygoing, so positive and we were all well taken care of with thanks to our tour guide 小刘 and driver 小杨. There were many long bus rides and toilet trips as we explored Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Chuxiong, Yiliang 🤣 We will share more details soon!

ICYMI - We're resting till 15 March, Sunday!

It's our first time in 🇨🇳 and we're thankful to be here - on a tour by SA Tours to Yunnan (云南).

Sharing something our tour guide 小刘 shared with us:

让心里去旅行。吃什么，看什么都美。Allow your heart to be on vacation. Whatever you eat and drink, will be beautiful. (Even when you're back in Singapore)

1. 要探索，有个好奇心 Explore, be curious!
2. 敞开自己，个人体验 Be open to new experiences
3. 多交流，分享 Interact with one another more (especially as a group of 17 strangers from Singapore doing this trip together)

P/S: On point 3, Uncle Koo is doing that non-stop naturally (he hasn't stopped yapping haha)

We're coming home and ready to serve you wanton noodles from 5 Jan, Monday onwards! We had a really nice time and thank God for all the good food and the beautiful scenery we got to see. Thank you to our youngest daughter for planning this trip ❤️

Here are some photos of us from the road - our first time in Vietnam 🇻🇳. Even though it is monsoon season, we thank God for the fine weather and the time with our kids. Check out our expressions! Can you guess what we are thinking / feeling?

Uncle Koo has been going around this trip showing hospitality - talking to the people at the next table, helping people promote their durian, offering his ice cream to others, hugging shopkeepers 😂 Auntie Koo is going with the flow, enjoying the food, and the walking and shopping. She has learned how to cross the roads bravely! We even got to meet our daughter's Vietnamese friends, and counted down to the new year with them, before walking back to our accommodation by foot which took over an hour!!! What an experience to kick-start 2026..

Something we learn is to always ask our customers to leave a Google review after they taste our food. It is not easy to earn a living, and we see many people who work hard, asking us to leave them a review. Most of us read reviews online before we make decisions, right?

Maybe in this new year, this shall be our new habit.

Here's a trip down memory lane! These were from our time at Holland Drive Market & Food Centre, and a temp period of 9 months at a coffeeshop in Clementi when the food centre was being renovated. We can't recall our past signage from our coffeeshop days before the Holland Drive period liao!
