A little something beautiful from Myanmar 🇲🇲
“Sa-Du-Deed-Thar” is one of the most heartfelt traditions of the Thingyan Water Festival. As the Burmese New Year arrives each April, people pour water to wash away the past, welcoming a fresh, meaningful beginning. But beyond the water, there’s something even deeper.
“Sa-Du-Deed-Thar”, meaning “from all four cardinal points,” is a charity feast where everyone is welcomed. No status, no boundaries, just food, sharing, and kindness. It’s one of the purest ways Burmese people give back during this season.
From traditional treats like Mote Lone Yay Paw, Kyar San Chat to Mote Let Saung, every bite carries generosity and community. If you ever see a Sa-Du-Deed-Thar nearby, don’t hesitate. Walk in, take a plate, and be part of something beautiful.
