The algorithm knows you’d rather be drinking champagne than doing… whatever this is.

So here’s your tiny break. Cheers to bubbles and better days. (Drink responsibly.)

You won’t just stumble upon this place, and maybe that’s the point.

La Vie en Rose is one of those speakeasies that makes you question your Google Maps. Hidden behind a tall gate, up a dim staircase, and into what feels like an apartment building… lies a small, velvet-draped bar that feels lifted out of a noir dream.

It kind of gives Hanoi’s Haflington energy, but stripped down. More modest, more Makati.

No flashy signs. No crowds spilling onto the street. Just jazz, soft lighting, and a well-made drink in hand. The kind of spot that rewards the patient and the curious.

A secret worth keeping... but also worth sharing.

More 2026 nights, captured in low light.
More chilled glassware. More quiet clinks.
More stories shared with new faces.

This reel is my mini love letter to cocktail bars and mixology culture, where the vibe is half the drink and half the people you meet. Follow Flights and Sips for bar finds, cocktail bar recaps, and mocktail-friendly spots too.

(For legal-age readers: drink responsibly. For everyone: chase the atmosphere.)

The 2019 vintage of Château Quintus made a lasting impression. A Saint-Émilion that opens with aromas of caramel, nougat, and florals—then delivers unexpected notes of pink guava and spice on the palate. Light-bodied yet long on the finish, it’s a wine that needs no pairing to shine. Pure elegance in every sip.

Recently tasted Château de Ferrand 2016, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with elegance rooted in history. This vintage shows earthy minerality, herbaceous notes, and bright acidity—unfolding slowly with air. A wine that rewards patience and reminds us that complexity often comes with time.

Chateau de Ferrand 2016: A Wine with History, But Did It Deliver? Earlier this week, I tasted a bottled of Chateau de Ferrand 2016—a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with a fascinating backstory. The chateau is from the 18th century, when poet Elie de Bétoulaud built it as a tribute to Louis XI...

Patience is key with Promontory 2020. This vintage doesn’t just speak—it unfolds over time, revealing layers of herbaceous depth, mineral tension, and a structure that promises serious aging potential. A wine that demands attention but rewards those who take the time to explore.

Is this the Napa Valley masterpiece you’ve been waiting for? Read the full review now at www.flightsandsips.com.

There is always an element of anticipation, excitement, and curiosity in tasting a new vintage of a well-regarded wine. When that vintage is Promontory 2020, and the session is led by the winemaker himself, David Cilli, it also becomes far more intriguing. Held virtually, ahead of its négociant o...
