Recently we were very fortunate to have Hunter Smith from Frankland Estate in Singapore. Even with a busy schedule of events for Uncorked - Modern Australia, we managed to slip in a few trade calls.

The Isolation Ridge and Smith Cullam Rieslings show the outstanding ability for this region to make Rieslings with texture and layers of flavour.

Not to be outdone, the Syrahs have all the elegance and power you expect from the cool growing conditions.

Frankland Estate is a family-owned, certified organic winery located in the remote Frankland River region of Western Australia.

While known for producing one of the most acclaimed Rieslings in Australia, the Isolation Ridge Syrah from is quietly setting a benchmark for cool climate Shiraz.

If you are into a refined, elegant and structured style of Shiraz, this wine ticks all the boxes.

Nose: Intense aromas of violets, cinnamon, peppercorns, and smoke, layered with redcurrants and cherries.

Palate: Medium-bodied and poised, featuring “to-die-for” weightlessness. Expect flavours of plum, mulberry, and white pepper, grounded by a stony, ironstone minerality.

Structure: Fine, ferrous tannins from the ironstone soils and 20% whole-bunch inclusion provide a gentle chewiness and a long, soaring finish.
