The Birth of a Great B**r
Like many b**r recipes of the time in the Americas, Corona's unique brew was of German origin as most brewers in those days were German immigrants. Cervecería Modelo was founded in 1922 and in 1925 Corona b**r was launched as a pilsner b**r. In the mid 1940’s Corona Extra ignited excitement among b**r lovers by introducing painted labels on their bottles. The impact of this novelty was so massive that throughout the 50’s it shaped the design and image of Corona Extra to what it is today – authentic and original. Today, it is one of the best-selling b**rs in Mexico and the #1 Mexican b**r in the world. In 2010, Corona Extra was voted as one of the Top 5 b**rs of the world. Corona Extra can be found in more than 30 countries in Asia, including Singapore. Often served chilled and with a wedge of citrus - usually lime, occasionally lemon - slipped into the neck of the bottle and enjoyed with an unbuttoned collar (or shirtless if the occasion calls for it).
