Our founder Sophia took on a slightly different kind of hosting this weekend ❤️

Together with the Telok Kurau East Coast Residents’ Network, we brought the tables out under our little red awning at 374 East Coast Road for an evening with our neighbours.

There was pandan and orange chiffon, Ondeh Ondeh Cake, keropok, sambal belacan, lots of durian, and a very hands-on chilled DIY muah chee session!

When we opened Tiap Tiap here, we always hoped to be more than just another shop along East Coast Road. We wanted to be part of the neighbourhood. Seeing families, kids and neighbours eating, making muah chee and hanging out together right outside our home felt pretty awesome that we get to do this.

Thank you Telok Kurau East Coast Residents’ Network for having us, and to everyone who came by. We hope this is the first of many ❤️

Your midday snack situation just got a little more dangerous.

Our seriously crisp, mackerel-packed keropok is now within reach for that 3pm crunch 🐟

AND because some of you have been asking for your party needs… we’ve snuck in a very limited quantity of our Pandan Chiffon too 🌿 Soft, fluffy, made with fresh pandan + coconut milk, and always the first to disappear from the table. (Sometimes there might even be a little orange chiffon)

Very limited drops. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

It’s been over a week since our grand opening, and we’re still feeling the love!! TiapTiap has now officially opened our doors, and we’d like to use this post to once again thank our community, of amazing regulars turned to friends, family, neighbours and everyone else in between for rallying behind us to make this happen. 

Opening a storefront is hard, and we’ve found ourselves having to go for massages a lot more frequently lately 🤣 But having a proper platform to host, interact, and get to know all of you a little better has made all of it so worth it.

What a week it has been!

As we wrap up our first week at 374 East Coast Road (it feels like a month), we just wanted to say thank you. Truly!

To all our friends and family members who came by to congratulate us, those that threw on aprons to help us make coffee, serve customers, pack orders etc… we are beyond grateful.

To our loyal customers over the past 6 years that popped in, it was beautiful meeting you guys in person, hearing your stories and watching familiar faces return with friends and family to share our treats. Before a word comes out of our mouths, having our customers tell other new customers “u have to try the Pandan cake” warms our heart 🥲🥹🥺
This has been such a beautiful and affirming start for us….this little space already holds so much heart all thanks to you guys.

From 12th to 20th may, we will be temporarily closing our doors at east coast road as we head over to boutique fairs at the f1 pit building ✨

Come say hi, grab your favorite treats and spend the weekend with us there! Then we’ll be right back home at ECR after ❤️ see u at boutiques!

it’s always the little things that matter.

the ingredients we use, the way we plate, the packaging we use, and now into the space…the finishes, the tiles, the color, the material. We thought about every detail because this space matters. we want you to feel welcomed and at home when you walk in. we can’t wait to welcome you.

& the biggest shoutout goes to for believing in our vision and always saying ‘ok no problem’ or ‘let me try’ to every request we made. we turned this dusty old shophouse into a space we’re proud to call home ❤️
