Kalehe is a vineyard looking over the village of Kojsko (Quisca). Bathing in the sun on the south exposed slope and refreshed by the constant wind from the Soca valley. This quite deep clay soil very rich in limestone Opoka rocks, which balances the wine with strength and precision, gives this Rebula a distinct character and an interesting herbal profile. This vineyard was planted by my grandfather and has a special place in our winery.

Gora is a tiny vineyard, under the medieval village of Smartno, hidden in a small forest. The soil here has moderate amounts of clay with Opoka (sedimentary rocks) and some limestone. The surrounding forest makes it a somewhat a cooler site even tho it is south exposed. The very old vines here, that were planted around the 1960s, produce a very elegant wine with explosive minerality.

Rebula from the Brda line of wines, is a showcase of the balance that can be achieved from different vineyards across the Brda region. Aged in used oak barrels, it allows the wine to develop into a serious Rebula, without losing it’s fresh appeal.
