𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮. 🍇

Klarnica is always the last variety we pick. We leave it on the vine a little longer because that extra time is exactly what it needs. With slower ripening, it develops the fullness, aroma and character that make it so special to us. ✨

This year’s harvest has been a demanding one. ☀️ The dry summer left its mark, which meant watching every variety even more closely and letting the vineyard guide our decisions. When to wait, when not to. When to begin, and when to give the vines just a little more time.

In viticulture, not everything is in our hands. Knowledge, experience and planning matter, but in the end, you also have to know how to listen to nature. 💚

Behind us are weeks of full crates, pressing, long days, quick decisions and the kind of work you only truly understand when you live it.

Now the final grapes are leaving the vines, and the 2026 vintage is slowly moving to the place where it will need the most patience: the cellar.

The busiest and most vibrant weeks of the year are here. 🍇

When harvest starts, the rhythm on the estate changes quickly. It is not only about picking grapes. It is also about bringing them from the vineyards to the cellar, pressing, preparing everything at the right moment and making many decisions along the way.

This year, the summer was especially demanding. ☀️ The drought left its mark on the vineyards, so we are following each variety with even greater care and choosing the right moment for the grapes to continue their journey into the cellar. 🚜

The weeks ahead will be full. Full of movement between the vineyards and the cellar, full of careful work and full of hands making sure this year’s harvest begins its story as it should. 😉

Harvest is just around the corner at Posestvo Berce. 🍇

Behind us is a very dry summer, one that brought quite a few challenges for the vines. In times like these, the vineyard reminds us how important it is to watch the vines closely, follow the grapes, and wait for the right moment.

🌧 That is why the last rain was more than welcome. We gave the vines and the grapes a few more days to breathe before the harvest begins.

Now, the vineyards set the rhythm of our days. And we patiently follow. 🤗

𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗷𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗮. 🥇🥈

During the AGRA fair, held under the auspices of Sejem, the ceremonial awarding of medals and champion titles for 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗷𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗷𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 will also take place.

At the 52nd Open National W**e Evaluation, two of our w**es received beautiful recognition:

🥇 Yellow Muscat Native 2025, gold medal
🥈 Malvasia Vipava Classic 2025, silver medal

🥇 Yellow Muscat holds a very special place on our estate. The story of this w**e began with a single graft, which Matjaž’s great grandfather Janez, known at home as Nute, brought from Italy. 🪴 From that story, a vineyard with around 8,000 Yellow Muscat vines grows today. 💛

🥈 We are also especially happy about the silver medal for our Malvasia Vipava Classic 2025. Malvasia is one of the most characteristic varieties of the Vipava Valley, which is why it holds a special place for us. In the glass, it beautifully expresses freshness, elegance and the recognisable character of the environment it comes from. 🌿

Recognitions like these mean a great deal to us, because they confirm the work in the vineyard, the decisions in the cellar and everything we want to pour into the glass with Berce W**es: origin, quality and the taste of the Vipava Valley. 💚

Today, we remember that home is not just a place on the map.

Home is the people, the land we work, the language we speak, the customs we carry with us, and that quiet feeling of belonging somewhere.

Today, we raise a glass to Slovenia. To its independence, its beauty, and all the stories that grow from this land. 💚🥂

First summer days. ☀️🍇

There is so much life in the vineyard right now. The vines are lush, the grapes are developing beautifully, and between the rows, you can see just how quickly nature changes at this time of year.

𝐺𝑟𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑠 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑖𝑔 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. 𝐽𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑙𝑒 𝑙𝑢𝑐𝑘.

Now we keep our fingers crossed that everything continues to grow well. The glass is still a long way off, but its story is already being written. 🤗

Each of our w**e collections has its own story, its own purpose, and its own personality. Yet they are all bound by the same foundation – a deep respect for the vine, the soil, and the time that w**e requires to mature. 🍷
