Cabernet Franc Selection impresses year after year. 🍷 After four exceptional vintages, the bar was set very high again this year, and the gold medal and 96 points for the 2021 vintage confirm its superior quality. 🥇

Cabernet Franc 2017 received a platinum Decanter medal upon its first release and is recognized as the first Slovenian red wine to earn such award. The 2018 vintage earned a silver medal, the 2019 vintage once again received a platinum medal, and last year, the 2020 vintage scored 95 points and a gold medal. 🙌

Gasper Wines - awarded Slovenian wines

Gasper Wines are created in cooperation with the best Slovenian sommelier Gašper Čarman and large cooperative Klet Goriska Brda, and are becoming an increasingly recognizable wine brand both in Slovenia and abroad.

Gašper Wines are a reflection of the unique environment of terroir of Goriška Brda and focus on the consumer.

The owner of Gasper Wines - Gašper Čarman, is one of the greatest wine connoisseurs in Slovenia and two times awarded Best sommelier of Slovenia (2013 and 2015). He has finished WSET 4 level diploma and he is in his 2nd year of master of Wine student. For him learning is an ongoing process and after 14 years in wine business he still believes that there is much more to learn. All his life he has been working with wines and food. From his early age he was working in family owned restaurant called Danilo – gostilna & vinoteka, in Reteče. It was at that time when he fell in love with wines and in 2004 he started his own business – selling wine. Gašper soon spread his business from a small garage business to a web wine shop (www.eVino.si) and then moved to distributing wines to B2C and B2B segment.

In 2013 he created his own wine label – Gasper Wines. When talking about his own wine brand Gašper Čarman says that he considers what wine shows us in the glass more important than the story itself. Wine drinker's first impression is the one that can lay down a long-term friendship or just a brief meeting. And that was the main goal when creating Gasper Wines.
