*Jagaban Empowers Rutile Community with Le 5 Billion Grant for Development Initiatives and Hajj Support*

The leading flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, on 8th May 2026 honored an invitation from the United Council of Imams Youth Wing in Rutile, Bonthe District, where he announced a grant of Le 5 Billion to support key community projects.
These projects include the construction of the ICS Secondary School and mosque, business support for women, stipends for three representatives of each mosque in Rutile including the Imam, Deputy Imam, and Muazzin, and also sponsorship for the Imam who offered the opening prayers at the program to perform the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage under Jagaban’s sponsorship.
On behalf of the Muslim community of Moriba Town, the Chief Imam, Sheikh Muctaru Sannoh, thanked Jagaban for honoring their invitation and described him as a brother in Islam and a true son of the soil rather than a political guest. The Muslim community also presented a Holy Quran to Jagaban as a symbol of brotherhood and appreciation, affirming their support for his political mission.
The APC Chairman of Bonthe District, Mr. Mohamed Alpha Sheriff, thanked the Muslim community for organizing a peaceful and well-attended program. He stated that the people had waited patiently from morning until late evening for Jagaban’s arrival and prayed that Almighty Allah would reward them abundantly. He further noted that Jagaban had responded positively to their request to visit Rutile and was present to listen to their concerns and developmental needs.
In his statement, Jagaban expressed sincere gratitude to the United Council of Imams and everyone who participated in the occasion. He responded positively to their requests and announced that, starting from the middle of every month, he would begin paying stipends to three representatives from each mosque in Rutile, including the Imam, Deputy Imam, and Muazzin. He further promised to sponsor five Imams from Rutile to perform the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage. Additionally, he pledged Le 5 Billion toward all the developmental projects highlighted by the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Ibrahim Koroma, to ensure the successful completion of the projects.
