At the Investors Summit last week at NBH we displayed a full range of our nutritious, blended foods. Libermix developed for Liberia funded through CRS, 2024. The formulation was specifically developed to meet the needs of underweight adolescent girls. Adolescence growth velocity is second only to the first two years of life and every physiological system is transformed. Adolescence is a critical phase in life for achieving human potential, characterized by dynamic brain development which shapes the capabilities an individual takes forward into adult life.

Throwback to an impactful visit to Bennimix Food Company in Bo City with Team Europe, the EU-funded BAFS Programme, journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
It was inspiring to witness firsthand how the support of the European Union continues to strengthen Sierra Leone’s private sector and agricultural value chain. Through strategic investment and innovation, Bennimix has expanded production in sesame, pigeon peas, sorghum, and other nutritious products tailored for baby food and family nutrition.

This initiative is doing more than producing food — it is creating opportunities for farmers, empowering women and youth, improving nutrition, and supporting jobs across the agribusiness sector.

Big appreciation to Team Europe, the BAFS Programme, Bennimix Food Company, the Government of Sierra Leone, and every stakeholder working tirelessly to support the Feed Salone vision and build a stronger, food-secure Sierra Leone.
