HAPPY 13TH YEAR SPOC!

On 7 March 2012, Sudd Petroleum Operating Co. Ltd. (SPOC) was incorporated in the Republic of Mauritius pursuant to the Block 5A Transition Agreement signed on 12 January 2012 between PETRONAS Carigali Nile Ltd., ONGC Videsh Ltd. and Nile Petroleum Corporation (the company's original shareholders) and the Government of the Republic of South Sudan to replace White Nile (5B) Petroleum Operating Co. (WNPOC) as the new Operator of South Sudan's Block 5A after South Sudan's independence.

SPOC's first set of Board of Directors was composed of Mr. Azman Aziz of PETRONAS Carigali Nile Ltd., Mr. Samarendra Roy Chaudhury of ONGC Videsh Ltd. and Eng. Paul Adong Beth Deng of Nile Petroleum Corporation.

SPOC's first ever management team was led by Datuk Bacho Pilong and Eng. Farouk Gatkuoth Kam as the company's first President and Vice President, respectively with Mr. Emi Suhardi Mohd Fadzil as General Manager for Production & Operations, Madam Sharifah Noorliza Syed Ismail as General Manager for Corporate Services and Mr. Harpal Singh as General Manager for Exploration and Development.

SPOC in partnership with Tuach Riak G*i foundation, conducted Eyes operational surgeries,in Koch county Unity State, as part of SPOC coperate social responsibility, the community was received the services with joy and happiness, SPOC delivered services to the community around the oil field

The SPOC delegation led by Dr. Changkel Banak Riak, SPOC Vice President pays courtesy visit to Koch County in Unity State,

The delegation was warmly received from Koch airstrip by Koch County Commissioner Hon.Gordon Koang Biel Char, and the entire community of Koch County, SPOC VP expressed his gratitude and his excitement from the Hon. Commissioner and the entire community for
the warm welcoming,

VP assured the community for his tremendous effort and engagement to all stakeholders, partners and SPOC management to make sure the road from Tharjiath to Koch and Tharjiath Mirmir shuold be reconstructed so that services delivery shuold reach the community,

Hon. Commissioner welcome the delegation and expressed his gratitude to VP and the delegation for their courtesy visit to Koch County headquarters.

Hon. Commissioner applauded SPOC for services delivery to the community and he stated that Koch County has been cut off by flood from the rest of the state, no single road is accessible to at least bring in goods and community services from Juba or state headquarters.

Hon. Commisioner assured the delegation for his tremendous effort to make sure security situation normalcy maintains and oil companies operates in conducive and cordial environment.

Happy 12th South Sudan Independence Anniversary

On this joyous day and occasion, on behalf of Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited Management and entire staffs, we would like to take this golden opportunity to congratulate the people of South Sudan led by H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan on celebration of the nation's 12th Independence Anniversary. The people of South Sudan is celebrating this day as a milestone in their lives after having fought in anticipation for this day, and having lost many lives to achieve the independence.

We wish all South Sudanese and SPOC Staffs to celebrate this occasion in peace with their families and friends.

Sudd Petroleum Operating Company, as part of its corporate social responsibility projects conducted livestock vaccination campaign in Koch and Guit Counties respectively. The campaign targeted 5000 herds of cattle carried out by veterinarian doctors headed by Dr. Phar Yei Lam, CA section in Corporate Affairs and Community Development Department with others three veterinarian doctors and 20 community health workers / volunteers from both Guit and Koch communities.
