1️⃣ Restraining the Animal

• The cow is properly restrained in a chute or by rope to prevent movement.
• The tail is tied or held to the side.
• The v***a is cleaned with clean water or antiseptic to maintain hygiene.

2️⃣ Preparing the Semen Straw and AI Gun

• Frozen semen straw is taken from liquid nitrogen tank.
• It is thawed in warm water (35–37°C for about 30–40 seconds).
• The straw is loaded into the AI gun.
• The tip is cut and covered with a sterile sheath.

3️⃣ Re**al Manipulation (Recto-Vaginal Technique)

• The veterinarian inserts one gloved hand into the re**um.
• Through the re**al wall, the cervix is located and held.
• This helps guide the AI gun through the va**na to the cervix.

4️⃣ Passing the AI Gun Through the Cervix

• The AI gun is inserted through the v***a and va**na.
• Using the hand in the re**um, the cervix is manipulated over the AI gun.
• The gun is carefully passed through the cervical rings.

5️⃣ Semen Deposition in the Uterine Body

• When the gun tip reaches the uterine body, the semen is slowly deposited.
• The plunger is gently pushed to release semen.
• The AI gun is slowly removed afterward.
