For July 6th – 7th weekend, we’re pleased to cook two authentic Penang culinary delights, a delicious side dish, and a popular Chinese pancake with our twist.

1. Penang Curry Mee
The star component of the Penang Curry Mee dish is a fragrant and spicy creamy coconut milk-based broth infused with aromatic spices, coconut milk, and chili paste resulting in a complex flavor. It is served with yellow noodles and rice vermicelli and topped with a medley of condiments such as prawns, shredded chicken, cockles, long beans, beansprouts, spongy tofu puffs and garnished with fresh herbs. This dish is truly a symphony of texture and flavors.
The price per serving is ฿180.

2. Char Koay Kok
Char Koay Kok is a popular Penang breakfast street-style dish. Super tasty and fragrant, it is made with homemade rice cakes and fried with chai poh, bean sprouts, chives, and eggs.
The price per serving is ฿160.

3. Hei Zho (Crispy Prawn Rolls)
Crispy fried five-spice flavored generous fillings of minced prawn, meat, and water chestnut wrapped with bean curd skin. Our homemade version has more minced prawn fillings than Penang’s Lor Bak and no flour or other fillers added. An excellent side dish to the above. PS: You can also order it uncut and keep it in your freezer.
The price per 200g roll (cut into 8 slices and fried) is ฿100.

4. Min Chiang Kueh
Min Chiang Kueh / Ban Chang Kuih (also known as apam balik or martabak manis) is a springy, smooth, velvety, crunchy, and chewy classic Southern Chinese pancake enjoyed by many in the region.
The fillings we’re making include:
a) Traditional roasted peanuts and sesame seeds - ฿120 for a 3-piece set.
b) Coconut with Gula Melaka - ฿140 for a 3-piece set.
c) Orh nee, roasted peanuts, and sesame seeds - ฿140 for a 3-piece set.
Special 3-piece Set (one of each filling) - ฿130

For June 29th – 30th weekend, we’re pleased to introduce two classic Indonesian dishes with side dishes and dessert.

1. Rawon Kuah
Rawon is a traditional Javanese soup dish utilizing the black keluak nut as the main seasoning, giving the soup a dark color and nutty flavor. The traditional Rawon Daging soup is made with tender beef chunks soaked in the fragrant soup and served with jasmine rice, mung bean sprouts, a sprinkling of fried shallots, shrimp crackers, salted egg, and our homemade sambal sauce.
By special request, we’re also cooking the Rawon Buntut (Ox-Tail) version – limited portions only.
The price per serving for Rawon Danjang is ฿220 and Rawon Buntut is ฿260.

2. Ayam Betutu
The cooking process of the Ayam Betutu, a popular Balinese chicken dish, is rather tedious and time consuming whereby the meat is stuffed with vegetables and cooked slowly in low heat with an assortment of herbs and spices and finally baked in the oven. The juicy and succulent chicken with spices is a flavour explosion - yum yum. Served with jasmine rice.

The price for a whole chicken is ฿320 and half chicken is ฿190.

3. Side dishes
These two sides are excellent accompaniments to the Rawon Kuah and Ayam Betut dishes.
a. Begedil - deep-fried potato patty.
The price is ฿60 for a 3-piece set.
b. Sambal Goreng - a delicious, aromatic, protein-rich side dish made with prawns, green beans, tempeh, and tofu.
The price per serving is ฿90.

c. Wajik
Wajik (means “diamond”) is a traditional sticky and sweet snack made of steamed sticky glutinous rice, flavoured with palm sugar, coconut milk.
The price is ฿120 for a 3-piece set.
