🌿✨ On December 28, 2024, Gut Luck joined hands with .th to launch our very first event:
”From Cuisine to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation“ at Mae The, Chiang Mai! 🌾💚
This eye-opening experience was made possible through the support of YSEALI YOUnified, the U.S. Embassy Bangkok, and TUSAA (Thailand–United States Alumni Association) 🙌🇺🇸🇹🇭
🥗 The goal?
To explore how something as simple as what we eat can create meaningful change for the planet and our local communities.
We started the day bright and early at Jing Jai Farmers’ Market 🛒 to see the downstream of the food chain, where organic produce is sourced directly from local farmers. We witnessed how this community market supports sustainability through circular systems, zero waste, and mindful living 🌍♻️
🌱 Then, we journeyed to the heart of Mae The Organic Farming Community, where we learned how farming can become more than work — it’s a lifestyle and a culture. We cooked Kai Pam (ไข่ป่าม), grilled eggs wrapped in banana leaves, using fresh ingredients from the farm and discovered the difference between happy hen eggs vs. usual ones 🐔🍳💚
✨ The biggest highlight?
A heartfelt exchange of ideas on how our food choices are deeply tied to climate change. We uncovered how organic agriculture and sustainable food systems are powerful tools for creating a healthier, more climate-resilient future 🌾🌎
This day reminded us that every bite we take can support:

✅ personal & planetary health
✅ climate change mitigation
