Stepping Into Our Identity

If you’ve been following our journey for a few years, you might know our future permaculture hub by a few different names. We want to be completely transparent about why. 🌱
In 2023, we launched a crowdfunding campaign under the name “Amata” (Immortal). When that campaign fell short of its goal, we realized something: we weren’t immortal yet. We were still learning, stumbling, and growing. The energy just didn’t fit.
So, we went back to basics and leaned on our roots, temporarily calling it “White Lake Estate” as a direct translation of our home village, สระขาว. It kept us grounded while we put in the hard work behind the scenes.
But as this land continues to transform into a resilient permaculture ecosystem, it demands a name that matches its true identity.
Welcome to Nine North Lake.
Located precisely at the 9°N latitude, the number 9 also holds a deeply auspicious meaning in Thai culture—symbolizing progress, stepping forward, and good fortune. This isn’t just a name change; it is us finally stepping into our exact place in the world.
Lamae Coffee will always be the voice and the producer and roaster you love. Promsuwan is our family’s farming root. And Nine North Lake is the future we are building together.

หากคุณติดตามการเดินทางของเรามาหลายปี อาจจะคุ้นเคยกับชื่อศูนย์กลางเกษตรผสมผสานของเราในหลายๆ ชื่อ วันนี้เราอยากมาเล่าให้ฟังอย่างจริงใจว่าทำไมถึงเป็นเช่นนั้นค่ะ 🌱
ในปี 2023 เราเริ่มต้นโปรเจกต์คราวด์ฟันดิ้งในชื่อ "Amata" (อมตะ) แต่เมื่อแคมเปญนั้นไปไม่ถึงเป้าหมายที่ตั้งไว้ เราก็ได้เรียนรู้ว่า... เรายังไม่อมตะค่ะ เรายังต้องเรียนรู้ ล้มลุกคลุกคลาน และเติบโตอีกมาก พลังงานของชื่อนั้นยังไม่ใช่ตัวตนของเราในเวลานั้น
เราจึงกลับมาสู่จุดเริ่มต้นและพึ่งพารากเหง้าของเรา โดยใช้ชื่อชั่วคราวว่า "White Lake Estate" ซึ่งแปลตรงตัวจากชื่อหมู่บ้าน "สระขาว" ของเรา ชื่อนี้ช่วยให้เราติดดินและมุ่งมั่นกับการทำงานหนักเบื้องหลังค่ะ
แต่เมื่อผืนดินแห่งนี้ค่อยๆ เปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ระบบนิเวศเกษตรผสมผสานที่ยั่งยืน มันก็ต้องการชื่อที่สะท้อนถึงตัวตนที่แท้จริง...
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ Nine North Lake ค่ะ
ด้วยที่ตั้งบนพิกัดละติจูดที่ 9 องศาเหนือ (9°N) เป๊ะๆ และเลข 9 ยังเป็นเลขมงคลของไทยที่สื่อถึงความก้าวหน้า การก้าวไปข้างหน้า และความโชคดี นี่ไม่ใช่แค่การเปลี่ยนชื่อนะคะ แต่คือการค้นพบจุดยืนที่แท้จริงของเราบนโลกใบนี้ค่ะ
Lamae Coffee จะยังคงเป็นกระบอกเสียงและแบรนด์กาแฟที่คุณรัก คือรากฐานการเกษตรของครอบครัว และ Nine North Lake คืออนาคตที่เรากำลังสร้างไปด้วยกันค่ะ
