Brace yourself, summer is coming! ☀️
As temperatures rise, so does our need for cool refreshments and a little extra shade. And believe it or not, the summer heat affects more than just us, it can also influence our free range hens and the eggs they lay!
Here at Koh Yao Noi Farming, we’re committed to bringing you the freshest, most delicious free range eggs, laid by happy, healthy hens roaming our farm’s environment, e.g., lush pastures, spacious fields. As a free-range farm, our hens enjoy the natural environment, which means they’re also subject to the natural rhythms of the seasons.
You might notice something a little different in your carton of eggs over the next few months: the size of some of our eggs might be a tad smaller than usual. This is a common and completely natural occurrence during periods of high heat. Just like humans, hens can feel the effects of summer, and they might consume a little less feed or use more energy to keep cool. This can sometimes result in slightly smaller eggs.
Smaller size does NOT mean compromised quality or nutrition! We want to assure all our valued customers that while the shell might be a little daintier, the incredible quality, rich flavor, and nutritional powerhouse inside remain absolutely the same. Every egg is still packed with the same vitamins, protein, and goodness you’ve come to expect from our free-range eggs. Our hens are still happy, healthy, and laying with all their heart (and all their nutrients!).
We believe in transparency and keeping you informed about everything that goes into producing your food. So, as you enjoy your summer, rest assured that your eggs, regardless of their size, are still the same wholesome, high-quality product you love. Thank you for supporting our free-range farm and understanding the natural beauty of seasonal changes!
