The owner and chef Khun Nanthida (Bo) has worked for many years on big yachts as a chef and brings a wealth of experience together with many recipes. She created the The Hardstand's menu with great love to the detail. Bo's friendly and welcoming attitude makes a visit at The Hardstand Cafe a pleasant experience. During the Six Senses Phang Nga Bay Regatta in July 2011 Khun Bo participated in the Yacht Chef Cooking Challenge, organized by the Swiss kitchen manufacturer FRANKE. The show was also broadcasted live by 91.5FM phuketfmradio.com . Bo's creations won the first price for her delicious dishes under the label 'Thai Fusion'. See video here and here. For the past 8 years Bo and her team were in charge of the yacht catering for one of Phuket's best known charter companies Limestone Adventures. Soon after other yacht companies followed suit. Her tasty menus added to the overall great yachting experience and got her a lot of praise from the yacht's guests. After years of working on yachts away from Phuket she wanted to open her own restaurant closer to home to have more time to spend with her family. When she saw some new shops being built inside the prestigious Boat Lagoon Marina the idea was born to start The Hardstand Cafe.
