Today, I’d like to share a look at how we harvest ripe vanilla pods in our garden before sending them into the curing process. At this stage, the pods have begun to reach maturity — an important indicator for producing high-quality vanilla.
Harvesting fully matured pods is essential, because only mature pods develop the full range of natural aromas and compounds. When these pods are cured, they transform into fragrant, premium-grade vanilla. This quality makes them highly suitable for use by professional chefs and bakeries, ensuring richer flavor and better overall results in their creations.
