My take on the 'Champagne Cocktail'. perfect for a Christmas Soirée:
25ml good quality Calvados
1 light brown sugar cube (La Perruche for example) doused in angostura
1 single drop of Ricard (optional)
Dry Stir in a coup until the sugar cube has mixed but not completely dissolved.
Top with dry sparkling wine of your choice. Champagne or Crémant obviously work well but you could use a dry Cava.
