Thank you for all the love on my Afyon blog, next up is Bursa 🇹🇷 a city famous for its silk production, chestnuts, “İskender kebab”and so much more food! I didn’t have time to go to Uludağ mountain or try their famous “süt helvası” dessert so I’ll be back

Türkiye beyond the usual tourist destinations: Afyonkarahisar 🇹🇷 a city in western Türkiye where my moms side of the family is from and a place I didn’t expect to love this much as a foodie!

Famous for its sucuk and kaymak, there is SO much to do here that a one was simply not enough. I heard they even have a sucuk döner 👀

Back with part 2 of my Learning Turkish Culture series by hosting foodie events in Istanbul for my followers! 🇹🇷 with OverPop Agency

This time Leylak hosted us for a crash course on Turkish mezes like kısır and patlıcan dolması all organized by Cihan Tosun and prepared by the super talented chef Esin Özer 👩‍🍳 thank you SO much to both of them for this incredible event and creating this full on feast for us

We all need an escape from the chaos of Istanbul every now and then, and Ormanya a national reserve in Kartepe was the perfect spot for just that. Especially for my fellow nature and animal lovers! 🌳

My friend found this place online so I drove a group of us. It took about 2 hours and we spent several hours there 🚗

We had a little picnic then spent most of the time in the animal section before visiting the but there’s also cycling and hiking trails that I wish we had more time for!

Peyra also has a commitment to street-animal welfare and supports various animal rescue organizations as a corporate donor. Their three gelato flavors (Kotik, Gatto and Cezve) are named after cats they support!

One of the hardest parts about moving from Ankara to Istanbul was not being able to get QUICK CHINA whenever I wanted… but now they’re here in our city with several branches all with beautiful decor and even better food! 🥢

Germany meets Istanbul 🇩🇪🍺 Alman Bira Evi Beyoğlu has just opened a new branch in Beyoğlu just in time for Oktoberfest on September 21st. There’ll be food, music, games, competitions and so much more!

They’ve got a lovely garden, a seriously impressive selection of local & imported 🍻, and a new menu by Chef Cem Ekşi made for pairing with your pint. I tried the Bratwurst, Käsekrainer, Falafel Burger & Schnitzel Burger and all were 10/10

The cutest little discovery on Bankalar Caddesi, just a few steps from the Kamondo Stairs is izaz | curated palate in Karaköy 🧡 From chocolate-covered dates, pistachio ma’mul, mango + saffron desserts, and a signature coffee with cardamom, saffron & green coffee, nothing about this place is ordinary! Even the bill comes hidden in a poetry book.
