I swear Trinidad people does not know how to act in a crisis.
6:30 this morning my neighbour’s wife was outside in full nightgown, bonnet half on, one slipper missing, bawling in the street because she found crumpled cake boxes inside hidden boxes in her husband’s toolbox in the garage with my Jhenn’s Tropicakes logo on it.
They had handwritten notes scribbled “Mango Passion ", “For My Sweetness ” etc on them.
Immediately she call her sister, two neighbours and a known prayer warrior because she say no married man hiding cake boxes with messages like that unless he living a double life.
Within 10 minutes, there were about 14 people outside.
De women started mumbling they always knew he was “too quiet.”
The husband finally come outside in a towel and crocs sweating like a criminal and say:
“ALLYUH PLEASE… IT IS NOT A WOMAN… IS CHEESECAKE.”
Turns out he was secretly buying extra desserts and hiding them from his family so he wouldn’t have to share.
