Five years

At exactly 3:20 p.m. on June 29th in 2020, Charles Allan Bhawanie the founder of Baw Chateau wines, took his final breath.

It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since we have heard his voice, seen his smile, or received one of his signature bits of advice — always timely, always wise, always filled with love.

Not a day goes by that he is not missed.The ache remains, but so does the deep love and gratitude for everything he was.

Rest peacefully, Daddy.
Gone in body, but never in presence. ❤️

Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you. Your love, wisdom, and laughter still echo in our hearts and minds, guiding us through life. Though you may be gone from this world, your presence remains with us—forever cherished, forever missed.

We celebrate you today with love and gratitude for all the beautiful memories you left behind. You are always in our thoughts, deeply rooted in our hearts, and forever a part of who we are.

Garth's dedication and tireless work ethic were very instrumental in the Baw Chateau winery in its formative years. Whether he was engaging customers at the markets or meticulously bottling and labeling late into the night, Garth's contributions were immeasurable. He was a beloved member and reindeer of the Baw Chateau family. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will always remain a part of our story.
