I am Shannon Walters, the owner of Wingfing's Cuisine, a small agro-processing and specialty food & beverage business hailing from the village of Hope, Tobago. You may have come across this page in the past via our signature product, the Pull Apart Bread, but this business has since grown through faith, consistency, perseverance and a love for seeing faces light up when they taste our products. So we've since been adding different items to our product line, with the most recent addition being punches for retail.
But this isn't your regular bottled punch. These are very rich, flavourful, punch-man quality punches that come in 12 flavours. And the best part? We have DAIRY-FREE alternatives that use an almond milk base as well, so the lactose-intolerant and vegan crowd can still enjoy most of the flavours that everyone else can, with the same richness in flavour and consistency. You'd find some of the staple flavours like Peanut, and Beetroot & Oats, and more unique and exotic ones like Roasted Carrot & Channa, Julie Mango, Guinness & Chocolate, Avocado, and Dragonfruit, just to name a few.
We first introduced the punches a year ago (June 2025), subsequently adding more flavours plus the dairy-free line over time, and within the space of one year, we've successfully gotten these punches into 67 different locations, with 61 of them being in Tobago. But this was NOT an easy accomplishment, as I personally had to approach the majority of these outlets and convince them why a virtual nobody within the punch niche with more expensive punches than everyone else, deserves a spot in their fridges. But with the grace of God, listening ears and a splash of marketing skills, they all worked out thus far ๐๐ฝ
I told myself that after crossing 60 outlets in Tobago, we'd try to break into the Trinidad market. And this is mainly due to our very large Trini customer base quite literally begging for them for months. So I took a lot of suggestions from them of places they'd like to see them at, especially the dairy-free ones, seeing as how everyone I've asked has never seen a dairy-free punch retail on shelves anywhere. I even ran some ads introducing the punches to the masses (which are still running), and asked for more suggestions there as well. Many obliged.
So these are the Trinidad outlets that currently carry them:
Food Giant, Barataria & San Fernando
Uncle Beddoeโs Supermarket, Santa Cruz
D Palms Grocery & Liquor Mart, Sangre Grande
K&K Mini Mart, San Juan
L's Family Foods, Valencia
(with the last two outlets being out of stock for now)

Breaking into the Trini market has not been an easy task. One might have thought that the main issue would've been spacing, due to a greater number of competitors per outlet, right? Ehhh not really inno. Nothing compared to just the overall unwillingness to try a new item, sometimes masked with the justification of "We customers rel cheap. Dem en go buy that". The dairy-free selling point doesn't even help at that point. Meanwhile every medium to large outlet that took a chance on these punches has been satisfied with its movement and have reordered.
Based off of what I described these punches to be, you should know that they aren't going to cost anywhere close to the $15-19 that people have grown to associate with bottled punches. Ours range at some outlets from $23 for the dairy Peanut, to $46 for the dairy-free Dragonfruit.
So as it stands right now, it's not the greatest feeling to have to come back to our customer base and tell everyone that the places that they suggested aren't willing to carry them because they don't think they'd move. But if you don't at least give people the opportunity to choose a more premium product, how would you know if what's driving your sales is a desire for cheaper, vs a lack of viable alternatives?
Many people who can afford a BMW won't be caught dead in a Tiida even though it's cheaper. They'll just wait until what they believe they're deserving of becomes available, or source it elsewhere.
So with that being said, we know there are still many people across Trinidad who would love easier access to our punches, and this is where weโre asking for your support.
If you know anyone who owns, manages, or does purchasing for a supermarket, grocery, gas station quick shop, gourmet shop, or any outlet that would be a good fit for premium local bottled punches, please pass this post on to them.
If you are one of these persons, feel free to contact me directly.
All I'm asking for is the opportunity to put a good local product in front of more people to see how they accept it. Sometimes one share, tag, forwarded message, or introduction can open a door that would have otherwise been nearly impossible to gain access to. So if you believe in supporting small local businesses, especially those putting in the work to grow from the ground up, please share this post and help us reach the right people.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Wingfingโs Cuisine over the 9 years of our existence, whether by purchasing, recommending, sharing, spreading the word, or being part of our Creme Caravan sampling drives from Charlotteville to Icacos.
And thanks for reading to the end ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
