Guess how I thought dumplings were first made?

I loved my granny dearly and her cooking was always the best!

She would tell me stories, like that one time she was making roti and my grandfather got her upset. She threw the dough behind him and it coincidentally fell into a pot of boiling water on the stove and that’s where dumplings came from! 😂

Even today, almost six years after my grandmother has passed I still think about this crazy story and smile to myself.

Special moments with my grandmother in the kitchen are embedded in my memory. Every single day her memory inspires me to fulfill my passion for cooking.

The BABE the BURGER BABE that is.

Someone asked - how do you find such joy in these challenging times?

Easy! Always remind of yourself of your WHY. The things that make you happy each day. Even if it's just making someone smile.

Before the lockdown measures I did this branding consultancy with More Than Make Up Ltd. This really made me open up as a person and also made me realize what influenced me to be where I am today and where I am going. It helped me understand and remind myself of my WHY.

We all go through tough times and times where we doubt ourselves. Let's not lose site of our goals and lose ourselves in moments of uncertainty. Hold strong and keep going and remember your WHY.
