You have probably wondered what is the difference (besides price),between buying craft chocolate and commercial chocolate. The chasm between them is that craft chocolate is all about quality, few ingredients and flavour. Voulez Chocolat it is about high quality all the time, every time with great respect for every part of the process.

Little did you know that the term for fake chocolate is compound chocolate. This is chocolate without cocoa butter where a cheaper alternative to the very expensive cocoa butter is used. Some manufacturers use palm oil and other fats. You will also notice that commercial chocolate can always be found in the confectionary aisle of any store. The cost to produce is a lot more cost effective yielding higher profits and the shelf life is considerably long. This alone should be your indicator to how processed and far from chocolate is the candy confectionary.

A tidbit of information. The crafted chocolate bonbons will only last you a maximum of 4-6 weeks when stored properly, and that is due to the fact that there are no added preservatives, and it is real chocolate combined with other other fresh ingredients. This results in a superior taste which you will never be achieved with commercial confectionary chocolate.
